1  Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Fire‑Protection‑Los‑Angeles.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the Terms, do not use the Site.

2  Intellectual‑Property Ownership

The domain name, design, source code, text, graphics, photographs, audio, video and all other materials displayed on the Site (collectively, the “Content”) are the exclusive property of Site Owner. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved. No portion of the Content may be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, displayed, sold, licensed or otherwise exploited without the prior written permission of Site Owner.

3  Limited Licence to Jayco

Site Owner grants Jayco Lawson Fire Department Inc. (“Jayco”) a month‑to‑month, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable licence to use and display the Site and its Content solely for the purpose of advertising Jayco’s contractor services. Site Owner may revoke or modify this licence at any time, with or without cause, upon thirty (30) days’ written notice.

4  No Professional Advice

All information provided on the Site is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, engineering, fire‑protection, or other professional advice. Field services are performed solely by Jayco, which is independently licensed as CA Contractor Lic. # 733716 — A, B, C‑20, C‑36, C‑39 (C‑16 application pending). You rely on any information on the Site strictly at your own risk.

5  User Conduct and Restrictions

You agree not to:

  1. use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose;

  2. scrape, crawl, spider, or use any automated means to access or collect data from the Site;

  3. upload, transmit, or distribute viruses, malware, or any other harmful code;

  4. impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity; or

  5. interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Site, its servers, or networks.

6  Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SITE OWNER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR RELIANCE ON ANY CONTENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL SITE OWNER’S TOTAL LIABILITY TO ALL USERS COLLECTIVELY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY; IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, SITE OWNER’S LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MINIMUM AMOUNT PERMITTED BY LAW.

7  Indemnification

You and Jayco agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Site Owner and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all third‑party claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Site; (b) Jayco’s field services, advertising, or representations; or (c) your violation of these Terms.

8  DMCA Notice Procedure

Site Owner respects the intellectual‑property rights of others. If you believe that content available on the Site infringes your copyright, please send a notice pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) to info@fire-protection-los-angeles.com with the following information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3): (i) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (ii) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit Site Owner to locate the material; (iii) your contact information; (iv) a statement that you have a good‑faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (v) a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner; and (vi) your physical or electronic signature. Site Owner will promptly respond in accordance with the DMCA.

9  Governing Law and Venue

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict‑of‑law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. Site Owner and you may agree to submit any dispute to binding arbitration in Los Angeles County in lieu of litigation.

10  Modifications and Termination

Site Owner reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Site Owner may suspend or terminate the Site, or your access to it, at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.
